On this #MemorialMonday we want to honor the dogs from 116 South Carolina Dobermans that passed away.
Alya’s Story ❤️
Ayla’s body told the terrible story about the abuse and exploitation she experienced in the breeding compound. Her hair was sparse, scars all over her body and she was unable to stand up straight from being caged her whole life. Once Ayla arrived at our vets it was confirmed that she had cancer and we then became more determined to give this girl a lifetime of being a loved family pet regardless of the amount of time we would have with her.
Ayla’s days would be spent sunning herself in the afternoons and then in the evenings she would go around and pick up all the stuffed animals and put them in her cage where she would then sleep with them. Her favorite stuffed animal was a hedgehog and she carried her hedgy everywhere.
Two months later we would lose Ayla but in that short span of time our foster home gave her a lifetime of love. When Ayla would look at her foster mom there was love in her eyes, the fear that had clouded Ayla’s eyes before was gone. Rest in Peace sweet Angel you were loved by all of us 🌈
