For #WelcomeWednesday we are introducing you to our newest foster Cotton 🤍. We received a call about a dog in need and knew we had to take him.

Cotton’s personality is very soft. Sadly his body has been beaten up from neglect 😢. At any moment his spirit could disappear, but at his core is strength. We hope to bring that back out over time.

We knew Cotton had skin cancer, but we had no idea that he had actual holes in his body. They smell rancid from decay, and the pain this boy has been living with breaks our heart 💔.

It is to soon to tell exactly what all will be needed for Cotton's medical care, but we are wasting no time in getting him to the vet and seeing what needs to be done.

Cotton and us need your help. There will be months of care to make this boy as beautiful on the outside, as he is by nature on the inside.

How about a Peanut for your #TuesdayTreat!

Peanut is a sweet 18 month old dobie mix. She was surrendered to a shelter in the south that was beyond full. Pregnant and homeless, the shelter reached out to us and then it was Doberman Underground to the rescue! Peanut had 4 sweet puppies that have all been adopted. Now it's time for this momma to pick her own forever home.

Peanut is a medium-sized girl, about 45 pounds. She may have some herding breed in her, as she really likes to round things up. She's good with other dogs, but needs a warming up period. She is possessive of her food. This sweet girl is timid, but not fearful, of sudden movements. She's a bit of an escape artist, so she'll need a physical fence to keep her safe in the yard.

Peanut's foster mom says she is a joy to be around! When she talks to her and gets her excited, she's extremely happy and playful. She loves humans and wants to be with them always. Peanut hates to be crated. She does like to re-decorate things when left alone. She doesn't destroy them, she just likes to move things around like blankets and towels.
