Today we are celebrating *Lumpy Louie*, our sweet 10-year-old foster boy who has officially found his forever home — and with it, earned a spot in the elite SOS (Seniors Owning Seniors) Club alongside his amazing owner.
Louie’s journey wasn’t an easy one. After his original owner passed away, his family brought him to the shelter and just dumped this amazing dog . Louie came to us with massive fatty tumors covering his body — the kind that stop people in their tracks. Unfortunately, due to his heart condition, surgery was not a safe option. But here’s the beautiful part… *Louie doesn’t care. And neither does his adopter.* What they see is a gentle, loving senior who still has so much life and love to give. Louie is now living his very best life with another senior SOS female Doberman, and the two are as happy as clams — proving once again that age, bumps, and lumps don’t define a dog’s worth.
This is what rescue is all about. This is why seniors matter. This is Senior Saturday done right. Congratulations, Lumpy Louie — you are home.
