🌟 #MedicalMonday: Let's Talk Lyme Disease and Ticks! 🌟

The population of ticks has increased, raising the risk of your furry friends getting infected. 🐾 Western Black Legged "Deer" Ticks (Ixodes pacificus) are the primary carriers of Lyme disease. The good news? A tick must be attached for at least one to two days to transmit the disease. Regular and thorough checks, along with preventatives, are your best defense to keep your dog safe.

If a tick has been attached for that long, watch for these signs:

Fever
Enlarged lymph nodes
Trouble walking
Swollen joints
Loss of appetite
Fatigue
Stay vigilant and keep up with your tick prevention to ensure your four-legged family member stays happy and healthy! 🐶💚

🎉Stella Has Got Her Groove! 🎉

Hey there, fellow dog lovers! We've got some tail-wagging news to share – our girl Vaila has officially found her groove in her new forever home, and her new name? Stella – and let me tell you, it suits her to a tee! 🐾✨

From the moment Stella met her new mom, it was clear that they were meant to be together. There was an instant connection, a bond that couldn't be denied. Now, Stella spends her days basking in the love and attention of her adoring family, ruling over her kingdom like the true queen she is.

Gone are the days of uncertainty and longing – Stella is living her best life, surrounded by love, comfort, and plenty of belly rubs. Whether she's lounging on her throne (aka the couch) or exploring her kingdom (aka the backyard), Stella is the epitome of happiness and contentment.

🐾🌺 Meet Mallory: Your Perfect Garden Helper and Snuggle Buddy! 🌺🐾

Hey there, folks! My name is Mallory, and I'm so excited to introduce myself to you all. I'm a 4-year-old red female Doberman, and I've been fortunate enough to find myself in the loving care of Doberman Underground.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. First and foremost, I absolutely adore my people! There's nothing that makes me happier than being by your side, whether we're working together in the yard or just enjoying some quality snuggle time on the couch.

Speaking of the yard, gardening is one of my favorite pastimes! I love lending a helping paw as we plant flowers and tend to our garden together. My foster mom says I'm quite the green thumb (or should I say, green paw?) and that I'm such a big help.

But don't let my helpful nature fool you – I'm also a pro at relaxing and unwinding after a long day. When it's time to wind down and watch TV in the evenings, I give the best snuggles around. There's nothing quite like curling up with my favorite humans and enjoying some quality cuddle time.

It's #WorldBakingDay and who loves home baked treats more than a Doberman?

Share your favorite recipes below! If you have never made treats, here's one to try:

Ingredients:
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup peanut butter (be sure it doesn't have xylitol!)
1 cup flour (wheat flour is best if you have it)

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 300F.

Add all three ingredients to a medium sized bowl and stir to combine. You'll probably need to get your hands in there in the final stages of stirring. In the end, you should have a nice ball of dough to work with.

Working on a lightly floured surface, roll your dough out until it's a little less than 1/4 inch thick. Cut out your treats using a dog bone cookie cutter or any other fun shape.

Place your treats on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 30 minutes.

Allow the treats to cool completely before you feed them to your dog!

Enjoy! Your dogs will thank you 😀
