You can make a HUGE difference in the life of a dog in need by fostering. Doberman Underground provides the dog, you provide the love.
Doberman Underground provides food, pay all vet bills, provide crates and toys. All that you have to do is take the animal into your home, provide loving care, transportation for vet care and attend events.
All of our dogs are are placed with foster homes until we are able to find them their forever home. Fostering allows us to learn about the dog and enables us to better match and place the dog in a loving forever home. During the time the dog is with you, together we help advertise them at events, on our website, and through social media in order to find a loving forever home.
Fostering a dog can be a very rewarding experience. Fostering a dog is the first and most important step in giving them chance for a better life. Most of these pets have been homeless and and may have suffered from abuse and neglect. And in most cases the fist time the dog has ever felt love and kindness.
Since we cannot anticipate when your foster dog will find it’s forever home we ask that the foster commits to caring for their foster dog until they find their forever home.
Fostering is not without challenges, but Doberman Underground will be there to help guide and support you through any issues you may encounter. We are available to our fosters 24 hours a day!
If you have been considering adopting a dog, but are not ready to make that commitment, then fostering is the perfect option for you. You will help save a dog, have a great time, meet the best group of Volunteers ever and get that warm fuzzy feeling knowing you made a difference in a dog’s life and the family that adopts them. If you have any questions please drop us a line at email@example.com
However if you are ready for your a rewarding adventure than you are just a click away. Just fill out our Foster Form and you will be contacted by one of our amazing Volunteers who will guide you thru the process of becoming a Foster.
It is #HeartwormFriday and we have a group of dogs that will be having a quiet weekend, as they are confined to their cages after their Heartworm treatments 😢.
Sometimes it feels like every dog we take in is Heartworm positive. Unfortunately this has become some what of a norm for us, but that doesn't lessen the risk each time.
Capone is going through his 2nd & 3rd treatment, but he is still having difficulty breathing. He needs to be monitored continuously so we can get him through this and on to a forever home 🤍.
Dahlia has suffered so much already, after being in a severe dog fight. Sadly, she now has to start heart worm treatments 🖤.
Blueberry came in after being found as a stray, given birth recently and she is heart worm positive 💙.
These dogs did not ask to have humans neglect their care. However, they are so stoic with how they handle their care and treatments that they will now go through.
Here at Doberman Underground, we have been challenged recently to find new ways to fundraise to cover the care for the dogs. It costs $1,500.00 just for the heart worm treatment and then we have all their other medical care. Our adoption fee remains the same, $250 for a Noberman and $350 for a Doberman. You can see without your support we cannot begin to cover the cost of these dogs medically, and yet we wouldn't have it any other way ❤️.
The heartworm treatment for Capone, Dahlia and Blueberry will cost $4,500 in total. If you wish to donate towards their care, please do so below or on our website at https://dudobes.org. Thank you 🐾.
#SweetBeginnings have happened, as our foster girl Kenna sails away with her forever family ⛵️.
Kenna may have been lost for awhile until we picked her up as a stray, but now she is firmly anchored to her forever family. This beautiful girl is so easy going, that she was the perfect choice for this family to fall in love with the Doberman breed❤️. Now Kenna has a new name River, to go with her new life.
We see calm seas ahead for River and her family as they sail into the sunset 🌅.
